There are three types of networks.

1. Bus Networks

Show Example

2. Ring Networks

3. Star Networks

4. Combination Networks

Bus Network

Bus Networks uses a single Cable/Line to Connect all devices. This uses less Cable/Line, but a failure in the Cable/Line Causes one side of your Bus to be disconnected from the other. "Example, Power Lines, Everyone on your street probably uses the same power lines."

Ring Network

Ring Networks uses a single Cable/Line to Connect all devices. This uses less Cable/Line, but has more protection from a failure. If there is an open in the line, the Ring Network can read from the other side.

Star Network

Star Networks are the most common, it uses more Cable/Line but if there is a failure, only that Device goes down.

Used Together

Combination Networks are useful in bigger networks, These can be found in Business, Schools, and Entire Cities.
